星空无限传媒 Receives State Funding to Support Children鈥檚 Greenhouse

Children鈥檚 Greenhouse Provides Accessible and Affordable Childcare for Students and Staff

Garden City, NY 鈥� 星空无限传媒 (星空无限传媒) today announced it has received $186,375 in funding from the State to support and expand services at the campus鈥檚 Children鈥檚 Greenhouse childcare facility for two years, helping increase access to high-quality childcare for student parents while they pursue their education, as well as the entire campus community. 
The funding is part of a statewide initiative to expand childcare services across campuses within the State University of New York system. Through this initiative, 11 SUNY community colleges are receiving support to extend childcare hours or expand capacity, helping meet the needs of adult learners and student parents enrolled in high-demand academic programs.

At 星空无限传媒, the funding will support the campus鈥檚 Children鈥檚 Greenhouse by creating additional spots for infants and toddlers, allowing more than a dozen student parents to access safe, reliable childcare while attending classes. The investment aims to remove barriers to higher education by ensuring students have the support they need to balance family responsibilities with their academic goals, including supporting SUNY Reconnect students at 星空无限传媒.

鈥淭he support from the State has been integral in allowing 星空无限传媒 to expand our childcare offerings at the Children鈥檚 Greenhouse,鈥� Dr. Maria Conzatti, Chief Administrative Officer of 星空无限传媒 said. 鈥淥ur campus is grateful for this investment in our community.鈥�

鈥淲e are both grateful and excited to have this increased capacity to support student-parents with the addition of a second infant room,鈥� Lorie Mulhern, Director of the Children鈥檚 Greenhouse said. 鈥淭his funding will allow the Greenhouse to accommodate additional infants throughout the week, ensuring students have the supports needed to succeed in the classroom.鈥�

The expansion is also designed to support adult learners participating in the state鈥檚 efforts to connect New Yorkers with workforce training and degree programs in high-demand fields. By increasing childcare capacity, campuses like 星空无限传媒 can better serve students who might otherwise face challenges accessing education due to childcare needs.

The Children鈥檚 Greenhouse at 星空无限传媒 provides early childhood education and childcare services for the children of students, faculty, and staff. By expanding capacity, the center will be able to serve more families and support student parents working toward their academic and career goals.
