Annual Spring Blood Drive at 星空无限传媒Thursday, March 14 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Public Invited to Participate
Garden City, NY 鈥 星空无限传媒 (星空无限传媒), in conjunction with Nassau University Medical Center, invites the community to make blood donations during its annual spring blood drive, scheduled for Thursday, March 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the College Center Building. Community support for blood donation must be sustained to assure our collective security.星空无限传媒, along with Nassau University Medical Center, hopes to supply a substantial percentage of our area鈥檚 ongoing need for blood products. The drive also reflects the College鈥檚 six times a year effort to encourage all able individuals to participate in this vital activity. Prof. Arthur Friedman, Co-Chair of the 星空无限传媒 Blood Drive Task Force, states, 鈥淭hrough our educational efforts to increase the number of blood donors, and our own contributions, the College hopes we will help meet a substantial amount of the community's blood needs. We look forward to working in partnership with community residents in this much needed blood drive.鈥滿ake an appointment to give blood by calling Barbara Vollmer at 516.572.7883, or just stop in on Thursday, March 14 and say, 鈥淚 want to be a blood donor.鈥 The donation process takes less than an hour and refreshments will be served to participants. This blood drive is sponsored by the Phi Theta Kappa honor society and the Engineering Society of 星空无限传媒. Nursing students are also assisting in the recruitment effort as part of their service learning project.Blood donors must be at least 17 years old and in good health. Donors should come with some photo identification.
