Vondora Wilson-Corzen
I currently teach within the Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work Departments. I am also the Coordinator for the Human Services program (HMS) here at 星空无限传媒. I have been at Nassau for about seven years. Specifically, this Fall I am teaching Racial and Ethnic Relations as well as Sociology of the Family. Both classes have a lot of interaction and some contention. I like contention (discussion and disagreement) because it allows us to test what we know and continuously learn from what is presented.
I have been fortunate to be on the American Sociological Association's Committee for teaching and learning, the Eastern Sociological Society Community College working group and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, a new sorority for human service students. I have worked to plan conferences both on campus and attend those taking place off-campus. However, my fondest memory of my time at 星空无限传媒 is when I took HMS students to the MACH鈥檚 conference in Maryland. After they presented their poster, a fellow professor from a four-year school commented on how excellent their presentation was and specifically noted how it was a great example of the intellect of the students. At first, I was offended. Of course they are smart. But then I realized that she was expecting low performing students, and our 星空无限传媒 students completely blew any misconceptions she had about Community College students. This is what makes 星空无限传媒 so unique to me. Our students tackle much hardship to attend here, but when they arrive, they shine. It keeps me on my toes.

Stanley Pan
I served in the United States Navy in Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, II and at Camp Pendleton with the 5th Marines. I was also deployed to Okinawa, Japan twice. Stateside, I knew that 星空无限传媒 has a reputation for being very military friendly, and when I got here, it was true.
